Sara Jolly Jones
is in her third year as a Ph.D. student in the Educational Psychology department at the University of Texas. She has a bachelor’s degree in International Studies, Spanish, and Psychology from the University of Mississippi. She taught fourth grade for 3 years before beginning graduate school. In addition to her coursework, Sara works as a graduate research assistant as the Center for Teaching and Learning teaching graduate student workshops, consulting with graduate students about their teaching, and conducting research on Course-Instructor Surveys. Her research interests include the use of clicker technology to increase student engagement and learning and how to support teachers, both at the K-12 and postsecondary level, to incorporate technology effectively in their classes.
